Document Actions
Foot ulceration is one of the most distressing complications of diabetes, the impact of which is witnessed daily within the clinical setting. A literature search outlined that diabetic foot ulcers adversely affect a persons health related quality of life, and that patients who have diabetic foot ulcers rate their daily experiences poorer than those who have had amputation. However, it also identified that there is a lack of qualitative research that allows individuals to express their thoughts on issues around their own quality of life. This study was designed to explore the issues around health related quality of life of patients within the city of Salford who have a primary healed or current diabetic foot ulcer.
