The Education of Infection Control Principles in Care Homes
The aim of the project is split into two.
The first part is to determine the deficits, or strengths, of current infection
control education provision as given as part of induction training.
The second part depends upon the results of the first part. If the first part
concurs that there is a deficit in training then the second part of the aim is
to produce a standardised infection control education package that can
be used as part of induction training for new employees. If the result of
the first part indicates that there isn’t a need to develop an infection
control education package, then it is identify other ways to promote
infection control good practice throughout the infection control link group
and increase member motivation and involvement.
